Description: Laid paper. Serial No. 417. Signed by George Slake (G.S.), the issuer of this rarity. Printed by Frances Bailey. Uniface. 85mm by 51mm. Backed by an embossed piece of gray-blue card. Face staining and some minor edge roughness in spots all fall mute when the rarity of this note is considered. Most collectors have never seen an example, even those with extensive cabinets of Pennsylvania notes. Out of the limelight for 16 years, and here now for a new round of collectors to appreciate.
