Description: Laid paper. Serial No. 247, altered to 473. 85mm by 130mm. Signed by Jonathan Hale, Eben Stevens, Robert Choate, and John Brown. Uniface. Issued from Ipswich in Essex County, and payable to James Eveleth or order, signed by Eveleth on the back. This rarity has been enhanced through careful curatorial practices, and though its appearance has changed since its offering in the Ford sale, it is all to the better to our eyes.
