Virginia. October 5, 1778. Treasury of Virginia. Act of Assembly. One Sixth of a Spanish Milled Dollar. Fr. VA-152. PCGS Very Fine-30 Details. Repairs, Masking. As illustrated.

Description: Laid paper. Serial No. 215. Plate letters “tn.” Signed by L. Wood. Printer uncertain. Uniface. 90mm by 62mm. An outstanding note. Tightly bordered all around, boldly inked, and with less smearing in the fine points of the design than is typical for the issue. This appealing note was a part of a group denomination lot in the Ford. This premium quality note deserves to be offered on its own.

Pedigree: Ex F.C.C. Boyd Estate; Stack’s sale of the John J. Ford, Jr. Collection, Part XVII, March, 2007, Part of Lot 4445.
