Virginia (James River Bank). September 1, 1775. Current Money of and Company Bankers in Virginia. Ordinance of Convention. Four Pounds. Fr. VA-83. PCGS Choice Fine-15 Details. Repairs, Small Pieces Added. As illustrated.

Description: Laid paper. Serial No. 138/13785. Signed by Phil. Johnson, Cashier, Wm. Norvell, and Robert Carter Nicholas, Treasurer. Printer uncertain. Uniface. 170mm by 85mm. Another pleasing example of Fr. VA-83, identical in grade to the preceding lot in the eyes of PCGS. The opportunity afforded to this writer to compare the two pieces leaves him in a quandary. Each note in the pair is as lovely and sound as the other. If you missed out on the previous lot, steel yourself again for another attempt.
