Virginia (James River Bank). September 1, 1775. Current Money of and Company Bankers in Virginia. Ordinance of Convention. Twenty Shillings. Fr. VA-82. PCGS Very Fine-30. No qualifiers. As illustrated.

Description: Laid paper. Serial No. 25/2404. Signed by Phil. Johnson, Cashier, Wm. Norvell, and Robert Carter Nicholas, Treasurer. Printer uncertain. Uniface. 170mm by 85mm. A glorious note, free of PCGS qualifiers, and rightfully so. This James River Bank issue has survived in tip-top shape for centuries. The paper is lightly toned, and the printed and written portions are bold. An impressive note that faces up well and calls to mind a finer grade overall. Rare and important, and only slightly less elusive than the April 1, 1773 issue.
