Virginia Currency. October 20, 1777. Treasury of Virginia. Act of Assembly. Partial Sheet. Includes three denominations: One; Two Thirds; and One Third Spanish Mill’d Dollar. Fr. VA-123, 124, and 125. PCGS About Uncirculated-50. No qualifiers. As illustrated.

Description: Heavy rag paper with blue fibers. Serial No. 2346, all notes. Signed by L. Wood. Printer uncertain. Uniface. 92mm by 198mm. Death to Counterfeit. We couldn’t agree more with the Ford writer when he penned: “A beautiful display piece and a significant item.” Paper lightly toned, inking and signature bold, serial number in bright red. Margins tight all around. The overall appeal is amazing. We can imagine this partial sheet neatly framed in period style, and hanging over the desk of a serious collector (away from the sunlight, of course). An opportunity as rare as the sheet itself.
