Treasury of the City of Albany. February 18, 1793. Two Pence. Fr. NY-272, Harris H-22. PCGS Choice Fine-15 Details. Masked Stains, Piece Added. As illustrated.

Description: Frail laid paper. No Serial number. Engraved signature of E. Willett, Treasurer. Printed by C.R. & G. Webster, Albany. Two-Sided. 64mm by 42mm. Rarity-7 on the Harris scale. Tight bottom margins, even margins elsewhere. Ink still bold against the golden paper background. Albany churned out the lower-value notes and the public used them to the point of near-extinction. That a piece of this nature and quality has survived down to the 21st Century is remarkable to say the least. Thank goodness for caring collectors over the centuries.
