Description: 1853 FD round ¼ Dollar, BG-210, PCGS MS63. Rarity 7. Large Liberty head, smaller than the broad head type, signed below truncation of bust (always weak and incomplete), 11 stars around; blundered reverse of BG-209 with backwards 4. The earliest self-identified Frontier, Deviercy & Co. round ¼ Dollar. Only 10 recorded specimens going back to 1954, surely with some duplication. Choice Uncirculated: gorgeous, almost cameo-like obverse, light reddish toning in field, the whole set off by a perfect halo of blue toning at the rim; the reverse is brilliant within the wreath, encircled by speckled blue toning.
