State of Virginia. May 1, 1780. Act of Legislature. Seven Spanish Milled Dollars. Fr. VA-176. PCGS Choice Uncirculated-63. No qualifiers other than “Contemporary Annotation.” As illustrated.

Description: Thin paper watermarked CONFEDERATION. Serial No. 3991. Signed by A. Craig and B. Stark; countersigned on verso by Chas. Fleming. Printed by Hall and Sellers. Two-Sided, black face, red and black verso. 93mm by 72mm. Hand-written date. Just when you think you have seen it all, this spectacular offering brings forth yet another Crisp, New Virginia note. Scant but even margins on three edges on both sides, wide margin on left face and at top of verso. Boldly inked and signed, with stark contrast between the black imprints and the creamy paper. Superb quality at every turn.
