State of Maryland. June 28, 1780. Three Spanish Milled Dollars. Fr. MD-117. PCGS Gem Uncirculated-65 PPQ. No qualifiers. As illustrated.

Description: Fairly thick paper. Serial No. 5459. Signed by N. Harwood and Callahan; countersigned B. Harwood on verso. Printed by Hall and Sellers. 92mm by 70mm. Two-Sided. An exceptional note at every glance. A piece without problems, and possibly without peers. The margins are near-perfect, and one could not ask for better overall aesthetics. The red printing on the back is still lively in appearance. This amazing note was actually part of a two-piece lot in the Ford sale. We are not certain of the whereabouts of the other note, though it was reportedly of somewhat lesser quality; “only” an AU! Strong bidding activity and premium results are practically guaranteed for this Gem note.
