State of Georgia. October 16, 1786. Five Shillings. Fr. GA-129. PCGS About Uncirculated-53. No Qualifiers. As illustrated.

Description: Printed by John E. Smith of Augusta, on watermarked paper manufactured by Honig & Zoonen. Serial No. 4191. Signed by Jones and Steele. 156mm by 75mm. Uniface. About as fine as can be found for the issue and denomination combination. A classic note, without PCGS qualifiers, and with broad and even margins. The eye appeal is appropriate for the grade, and readily calls to mind an even finer assignment. A beautiful note from the early days of Georgia’s statehood, blessed with an outstanding pedigree and paper quality well worthy of the PCGS grade.
