One of the most desirable New Mexico towns with the name Silver City being quite the draw to Numismatists. Three banks operated there with this American National Bank being the most frequented. Interestingly the First National Bank of Silver City is unreported and the other, the Silver City National Bank, is known by just 10 notes. A small handful of the 59 recorded large-size for the charter are seen in higher grades and this Choice Very Fine note shows terrific appeal with original embossing of the overprints viewed through the holder.
