San Francisco, CA – June 21, 1875 – San Francisco Assaying and Refining, 416 Montgomery St. No. 3606 Memorandum of Bullion deposited by John Hussey. John Hewston Jr. as supervising Assayer and Louis A. Garnett as manager ran this successor operation to and at the same location as Kellogg & Hewston. The before melting amount was 131.92 ounces and 131.72 afterwards with a fineness of .981. There is handwriting below indicating that Mr. Hussey was from Nevada and coins were involved in the $2644.85 transaction. Very Fine with a bottom split at two of the three folds.
