Description: 1854 G L (George Ladd?), by Frontier, Deviercy & Co., round 1 Dollar, BG-605. PCGS Genuine, Cleaned - UNC Detail. High Rarity 6/Low Rarity 7. Coarse Liberty head, from the device punch of BG 501, 513, but modified: longer nose and angular extra outlines to back curls; 13 stars around, almost touching border, with tip of bust pointing to top of 1st star; value and date in wreath, elaborate long folded ribbons; * G * left, * L * right about level with date, berries all paired except that lowest outside one on each branch is triple; crack from rim to lowest left berries. Looks Brilliant Uncirculated, and was so graded as the finest known in Breen-Gillio. PCGS Genuine, Cleaned - UNC Detail William C. O'Connor (PCGS# 10521).
