Rare Cross - Miller Signautre Fr. 801. 1918 $5 Federal Reserve Bank Note. Kansas City. PMG Choice Very Fine 35. Another key piece in this remarkable group of Five Dollar Federal Reserve Bank Notes. This is one of just thirteen recorded serial numbers on this variety with no star notes shown. It has a census grade of Fine which is obviously highly conservative as this piece is seen with nearly Extremely Fine quality. PMG has graded just five pieces on the catalog number and this is the single second finest with just an Extremely Fine 40 note besting it. Very large margins frame the impression perfectly and the last to sell was a PCGS Choice Very Fine 35 note which brought $5,750 in a November 2014 sale.
From the C.R. Chambliss Collection.
