Description: Thick sturdy paper. Serial No. 4044. Signed by Elisha Hutchinson, (Addington) Davenport, Samuel Checkley, John Quincy, and A. Winthrop. 103mm by 133mm. Floral vine vignette back top, faded red ink and with a wallpaper appearance. Bold black inking, strong signatures, and lively rose-red vines reverse with penciled names and “mlryx” cost code. A greatly prized rarity, called “Extremely rare and perhaps Unique” by the Ford writer. One of the rarest of the early Massachusetts notes.
