Description: Coarse paper. Serial No. 903. Signed by Stephen Collins, James Penrose, and Luke Morris, Two-Sided. Printed by Hall and Sellers. Leaf back. To Counterfeit Is Death. 88mm by 75mm. Treasurer of the Contributors to the Relief and Employment of the Poor in the City of Philadelphia. Pennsylvania spelling in text. A scarcity from a printing of just 1,000 notes, all in the same plate position. Most surviving specimens are impaired in some manner, either by heavy folds or splits, or simply from circulation fatigue. This note, though much used in commerce, is still a wholesome example of the issue and will find a new cabinet-home easily.
