Province of Pennsylvania. January 1, 1756. Fifteen Shillings. Fr. PA-75. PCGS Choice Very Fine-35 Details. Repairs. As illustrated.

Description: Thick paper. Serial No. 12556. Plate B. Signed by Sam. Neave, Hen. Harrison, and Jonathan Evans, possibly in red. Two-Sided. Printed by Benjamin Franklin and David Hall. Printed Leaves back design. 88mm by 68mm. To Counterfeit Is Death. The rounded corners of this note do little to detract from its charming nature. The impressions are nearly as black as when new, and the inked signatures are crisp and readable against the deep golden paper background. While not a rarity of major proportions, the present note is undeniably scarce and should be respected as such at bidding time.

Pedigree: From Stack’s sale of the John J. Ford, Jr. Collection, Part VIII, January, 2005, Lot 1588. (Ford Price Realized: $575)
