Description: Laid Paper. No Serial No. Signed by Clem. Martin, James Read, and F. Harris. 97mm by 55mm. Uniface. A splendid note, aesthetically as well as physically. A slight vertical crease and faint horizontal quadrant folds, plainest on the back, are noted, but they are not a great distraction by any measure. In fact, there is nothing at all distracting about this classic Georgia issue; it was called “Superb” in the Ford catalog. The 1762 notes are thought to have replaced half or more of the earlier 1755 issues, which helps account for the great rarity of the earlier notes.
