Pennsylvania. April 25, 1776. Forty Shillings. Fr. PA-208. PCGS Choice Uncirculated-64 Details. Minor Mounting Remnants. As illustrated.

Description: Rigid stock. Serial No. 1647. Plate A. Signed by Wm. Kenly, C. Moore, and Abel Evans. Two-Sided. Printed by Hall and Sellers. Leaf back. Larger format. Pensylvania spelling in text. The ink is nearly as bright and deep as can be for a note of this age, with a red serial number and a solitary signer in red, C. Moore. An old and faint blue ink smear is noted on the face, otherwise aesthetic disturbances are all but nonexistent. Superb quality that once belonged to a group lot, offered here for its proper due.

Pedigree: Ex F.C.C. Boyd Estate; Stack’s sale of the John J. Ford, Jr. Collection, Part XVII, March, 2007, Part of Lot 4268. (Ford Price Realized: $690, the lot)
