Description: Thick paper. Plate B; this denomination comes with plate positions A, B, or C. Serial No. 260. Signed by S. Nevill, H. Hartshorne, and S. Smith. 97mm by 52mm. Two-Sided. Black and red ink face, black alone on back. Printed by James Parker, Woodbridge. To Counterfeit Is Death, an abbreviated version of this mordant warning. A simply outstanding note in all regards. The inks, both red and black, are crisp and seemingly almost fresh, and the signatures are immediately readable. An exemplary piece from its modest print run of 500 notes. No apparent conservation was done on this note, and PCGS felt strongly in their grade. About as nice as you are apt to encounter at any time in the future, especially once this piece passes to a new stewardship. Don’t be shy at bidding time.
