New-Jersey. June 14, 1757. Three Pounds or Sixty Shillings. Fr. NJ-107. PCGS Choice About Uncirculated-58. Small Edge Tear, Paper Thin. As illustrated.

Description: Thick paper. Plate B. Serial No. 205. Signed by S. Nevill, blurred, H. Hartshorne, and S. Smith. 99mm by 52mm. Two-Sided. Black ink both sides. Printed by James Parker, Woodbridge. To Counterfeit This Bill Is Death. An outstanding example of a rarity from a modest issue of just 500 notes. The face design crowds the edges, but the back is centered near-perfect with a tight right edge the only imbalance. An important note by virtue of both its rarity and its quality. The Ford cataloger called it “About Uncirculated,” a tribute to that writer’s skilled and practiced eye! A pleasing early New-Jersey note that is not becoming any more common in the course of time, so plan your bidding strategy accordingly.
