Description: Coarse paper stock of the style used in the area. Serial No. 5583. Signed by S. Nevill, Isaac Decow, and Sam. Smith. 98mm by 52mm. Two-Sided. Sage leaf nature print on back. Printed face and verso by Benjamin Franklin, his imprint on back. A To Counterfeit Is Death issue. One of only 800 examples printed; we can only imagine how many notes have disappeared over the centuries from that release. The present note, low-grade though it is, still represents one of the finest examples of the issue known. A rare prize for your bidding pleasure.
