[New-Jersey] Common Council of the City of New-Brunswick. March 10, 1796. Four Pence. Fr. NJ-233. PCGS Choice Uncirculated-63. No qualifiers.

Description: Laid paper. No Serial number. Unsigned. Two-Sided, black ink throughout. Printed by A. Blauvelt, New-Brunswick. 75mm by 48mm. An exceptional early localized note from the city of New-Brunswick. The paper and ink quality are easily worthy of praise on this rare “small change” note. Evenly centered with a wide margin at left face. Unpriced in the Newman reference. These change hands so infrequently that value is anyone’s guess, but the bidding activity here should help answer that question. As nice as you are ever apt to find!
