Massachusetts State. October 18, 1776. Two Dollars or Twelve Shillings. Fr. MA-235. PCGS About Uncirculated-50 Details. Small Masked Stains. As illustrated.

Description: Rigid thin stock with ‘MS’ watermark. Printed by John Gill in Boston, from a face plate by Revere and Gill’s Pine Tree back vignette. Serial No. 2776. Signed by Jewett and Abbot. 70mm by 92mm. Two-Sided. The bold and stately face plate was evenly centered on this note, while the back printing is slightly askew to the left. A rare and historically important note, from a series containing more rarities than you can shake the proverbial stick at. The quality is outstanding, and the PCGS qualifier is essentially meaningless. Impressive is the operative word here, especially when aesthetics and high-end quality are considered.
