Massachusetts State. November 17, 1776. Ten Shillings. Fr. MA-246. PCGS Choice Very Fine-35 Details. Minor Design Redrawn, Minor Masking. As illustrated.

Description: Rigid thin stock. Serial No. 382. Signed by Dix and Brown. 78mm by 101mm. Two-sided, engraved and printed by Paul Revere, and the fourth and final appearance of his patriotic "Sword In Hand" plates. “Indepen- / dance” now occupies the patriot’s scroll on the verso, replacing “MAGNA / CHARTA” of the original design. Boyd’s penciled “myxx” cost code on back. Rare. An exceptional note with bold in-hand strength and great overall aesthetics. Nicely centered and inked, and worthy of a place in a type set or Massachusetts note run.
