Header: Choice AU 1662 Oak Tree Twopence
Description: Lustrous deep steel gray with lively steel blue highlights. The surfaces appear somewhat granular under low magnification, but the design elements are unaffected and bold throughout. Obverse rim tight to tops of N MA, beads there off planchet, otherwise sharp and crisp throughout the famous tree motif and elsewhere, reverse evenly centered and sharp, A in legend has a full crossbar. A suitable example of the only Massachusetts silver coinage dated 1662.
