Approximately 27” in length and created from four dimes, 22 quarters, and one silver dollar, all held together with links. The craftsmanship is superb overall. The buckle is the dollar coin flanked by two dimes, and the hook end is a quarter flanked by two dimes, one of which has become detached through the years. The coins, of course, were made in San Francisco for the Kingdom of Hawaii – the coinage was instigated by Klaus Spreckles, a sugar magnate and banker in Hawaii, and a friend of King Kalakaua I. Not to be missed, definitively unique, and a sight to behold – imagine seeing this around someone’s waist at a coin show!
