日本 甲州桐 一両判金 玩賞品 金銀図録 3-8 約16.86g PCGS VF-35

Interesting Gold Ryo Koban with four Kiri flowers. The center stamp is the maker: Matsuki. The Matsuki clan was one of the four family clans given authority to make Koshu gold coins by Takeda Shingen. This type may have been produced as early as the late 1500's to 1600's. The obverse also has a counter mark at 2 o'clock of unknown meaning. The reverse is blank with a rough texture. It appears this may have seen use due to the moderate circulation, and not just a presentation fantasy piece. Quite scarce. PCGS notes "DAIKOKU" on the slab which seems to be an error. Weight 16.86g.
