日本 甲州松木一分金 "分分" 玩賞品 金銀図録 3-36 約3.65g PCGS AU-50

The 3rd book of the KGZ is dedicated to the coins of Koshu and there are many types that were minted, some in larger quantities such as the 1 bu gold. On one of the pages, there are five gold 1 bu coins listed with odd stamp varieties. The standard 1 bu gold has 4 stamps: paulownia flower, maker (usually Matsuki clan), 1, and bu. The specimen in this lot has two bu denomination characters, leaving off the numeric 1, which seems to be a type of mint error or mint sport. Others on the page have a stamp upside-down, and another with two "1" characters but no denomination. Very interesting stamp variety and probably quite scarce. This type was minted as far back as the early 1600's, but it's unknown if this specimen was created at a later date. Weight 3.65g.
