Title: Group of Mounted Hubbell Beads
Description: Navajo Indian trader J. L. Hubbell of Ganado, Arizona, accepted silver and turquoise jewelry in pawn and, after World War I, provided turquoise-colored beads from Czechoslovakia as a substitute. By 1926 they were in common use, but have since become rare. This lot has a varied group of 17 beautiful blue Hubbell beads mounted on a card. See Opitz, p. 51.
