Government of the Counties of New Castle, Kent and Sussex upon Delaware. December 1, 1739. Eighteen Pence. Fr. DE-18. PCGS Fine-12 Details. Multiple Repairs. As illustrated.

Description: Printed by Benjamin Franklin. 71mm by 100mm. Uniface. Thin paper. Serial No. unclear. Signed by John Holliday, Tho. Noxon, and Jabez Maud Fisher; signatures faint but legible. Expertly repaired with just a touch of the handiwork immediately evident. The Newman text suggests 10,000 of these notes were printed, but as pointed out in the Ford catalog, the thin paper and later redemption for other notes played a large part in the rarity of the piece, along with the December 1, 1739 issue in general.
