A charter which is illustrated by 106 known large-size in the Track and Price census and although a high total, these $100 notes are rare. This is one of just seven $100 1902 plain backs and this 1477 numbered note caries the highest census grade which is Extremely Fine. It is not hard to see why such a grade was attributed as mostly handling is observed and the originality is still present. We feel just a touch of very minor staining at the bottom was the reason PMG did not apply an "EPQ" designation. The last of the seven to sell publicly was a PMG Very Fine 30 graded note which brought $1,800 in an April 2018 sale. This clearly better offering should certainly excite collectors.
