Fr. 809a. 1918 $5 Federal Reserve Bank Note. San Francisco. PMG Choice Very Fine 35. This final Five Dollar Federal Reserve Bank Note in the Chambliss collection represents the last piece in this intriguing San Francisco district series. As all show with the same four signatures, only subtle differences differentiate them. This piece only differs from the prior lot at the printed date at the lower right with May 18, 1914 seen in favor of the date just two days later. Roughly 20 pieces are known for this catalog number and this piece is the single finest PMG has graded. The note has appeal that certainly outdoes the applied grade as it looks near Uncirculated at first glance.
From the C.R. Chambliss Collection.
