Description: 1856 round ¼ Dollar, BG-229, Die State I (most field flaws removed by repolishing, wreath complete), PCGS Genuine, Tooled - UNC Detail. One was presented to the British Museum in September 1857 by Mr. Thomas Alcock, proof of Period One origin of this type. Same obverse die as BG-228, still further repolished. Made by Nouizillet. Shiny, looks Uncirculated, but "tooled" (planchet slightly bent). PCGS Genuine Tooled-UNC Detail William C. O’Connor (PCGS# 10414).
