Current Money of Virginia. May 6, 1776. Ordinance of Convention. One Shilling & Three Pence or Fifteen Pence. Fr. VA-89. PCGS Very Fine-25 Details. Repaired Splits. As illustrated.

Description: Standard thick rag paper. Serial No. 2507. Signed by J. Dixon. Printer uncertain. Uniface. 90mm by 70mm. A glorious “rag” if ever there was one. The paper is crisp, the imprint strong, and the signature and serial number are readily readable. “A Pistereen,” yet another denomination, is well hidden in the uppermost design features. A splendid note in all regards.

Pedigree: Ex F.C.C. Boyd Estate; Stack’s sale of the John J. Ford, Jr. Collection, Part XVII, March, 2007, Part of Lot 4413.
