Current Money of Virginia. May 6, 1776. Ordinance of Convention. Four Pounds or Sixteen Crowns or Eighty Shillings. Fr. VA-101. PCGS Choice Very Fine-35. No qualifiers. As illustrated.

Description: Standard thick rag paper. Serial No. 938. Signed by R. Morris and Geo. Seaton. Printer uncertain. Uniface. 98mm by 75mm. A truly Choice note. The lightly toned paper plays host to evenly inked designs. Bold signatures and serial number. Small margin to left, the other three margins generous in nature. “Another key sterling note from this date with only 1,000 notes printed. The highest sterling note on the date,” wrote the Ford cataloger. An exceptional note for the grade and the issuing Act. This rarity performed well in Ford, and we suspect the same is in store for the note this time around.
