Description: Thicker laid paper. Serial No. 1890. Signed by Ben. Waller and Phil. Johnson. Printer uncertain. Uniface. 80mm by 64mm. Richly toned paper supports slightly faded impressions, signatures and serial number bolder. Back with several contemporary pen and ink signatures. Ford’s cataloger offered the following about this particular note: “A rare note and genuine. Newman cites a counterfeit for this issue, but the plate is much different.” (See the following lot for a Counterfeit example of Fr. VA-44.) Choice at every turn.
