Description: Sturdier laid paper. Serial No. 642. Signed by Peyton Randolph and Ro. C. Nicholas. Printer uncertain. Uniface. 85mm by 64mm. Nicely toned paper offers lightly faded but complete vignettes. Tight borders all around, back with numerous signatures in period hand and ink. The Ford cataloger humorously noted the following regarding this note: “It is difficult to communicate to the Federal Currency ‘Gem Crisp Uncirculated-67’ crowd that this note is likely Condition Census for the type.” An aesthetically charming note, rare, and worthy of lively bidding activity.
