Description: Thin laid paper. Serial No. 22560. “Signed” by Peyton Randolph and R. C. Nicholas. Printer unknown, styled after the plates of William Hunter. Uniface. 70mm by 60mm. Hand-penned “Forged” at signatures and again on the back. Rare and Choice. The in-hand quality is substantial. It is easy to see how this note might have fooled many during its stay in commerce. Newman Plate Note. A classic issue in an outstanding state of preservation.
