Complete Set of Four Privately Struck Commemorative Gold Coins including the Original Obverse Dies. Four privately struck gold coins struck during the centennial of the dedication of the Mormon Temple in 1993. The four coins commemorate "The Mormon Temple Begun 1853-Dedicated 1893 Salt Lake City"; "Joseph Smith The First Mormon"; "Brigham Young Who Had the Vision"; and "The First Use Of The Mormon Alphabet-1860" with images of the iconic "Lion and Beehive" motif. All are paired with the same reverse die of the Lion of Judah, "Holiness To The Lord" in the Deseret Alphabet, and "1860".

Each piece contains 1/4 ounce of pure gold.
Also included are the four original obverse dies, created and struck by the Patrick Mint, Santa Rosa, California at the behest of A.M. "Art" Kagin. Only 50 were made from each pair of dies.
A truly UNIQUE opportunity. (8 pieces in lot)
