Colony of the Massachusetts Bay. July 8, 1775. Fourteen Shillings. Fr. MA-153. PCGS Very Fine-30 Details. Multiple Repairs, Minor Design Redrawn, Stains. As illustrated.

Description: Printed on laid paper from plate engraved by Paul Revere. Serial No. 4562. Signed by Robinson and Gardner, faint pen cancellation on the latter. 166mm by 79mm. Uniface. Another rarity from the issue, this with an authorized press run of only 540 notes. “In the upper echelon of notes on this Resolve,” according to the Ford writer, and a glance at this note will assure you that the writer was correct. Formerly with a backing strip with Boyd’s code “iryx” penciled on it, but it was removed during curation sometime in the ensuing 18 years since the Ford offering. Otherwise, the curation was a positive experience both physically and aesthetically. Choice.
