Colony of the Massachusetts Bay. August 18, 1775. Twelve Shillings. Fr. MA-168. PCGS Very Fine-30 Details. Minor Design Redrawn, Masked Stain, Small Repaired Edge Splits. As illustrated.

Description: On rigid, thick stock from plate engraved printed by Paul Revere. Serial No. 1730. Signed by Cushing, Wheeler, and Plympton. 77mm by 101mm. Two-Sided, famous “Sword in Hand” impression on verso. Formerly with an ink stain that showed through on both sides, now skillfully removed to the betterment of the aesthetics in our view. Evenly centered and crisp for the grade, and a note that was never split. A worthwhile Sword In Hand by any estimates.
