Colony of the Massachusetts Bay. August 18, 1775. Forty Shillings. Fr. MA-173. PCGS About Uncirculated-50 Details. Repairs. As illustrated.

Description: On thick, coarse stock from plate engraved and printed by Paul Revere. Serial No. 593. Signed by Palmer and ?, faded. 75mm by 100mm. Two-Sided, famous “Sword in Hand” impression on verso. The small amount of conservatory maintenance that went into this note does nothing to draw a critical eye or an aside comment; it is nice, plain and simple. The inking is bold, and the paper nearly as crisp as the day it was laid. Throw in excellent centering and the picture is complete. This beauty would enhance any colonial note collection, and will probably remain there for years to come. This is a keeper.
