Colony of Rhode Island. Providence. November 6, 1775. Two Shillings. Fr. RI-211. PCGS Very Fine-25 Details. Repairs. As illustrated.

Description: Laid paper. Serial No. 2830. Signed by John Dexter, in red, and Cole. Printed by John Carter. Uniface. 75mm by 100mm. Boldly inked and just as boldly numbered and signed. The warm and bright paper tones add to the overall aesthetics of the note. Choice or the grade with every turn. “Tremendously undervalued compared to many of the available Colonial currency types,” noted Ford’s chief cataloger. If such is the case all these years later, than we suspect we may see some spirited bidding here.
