Colony of Rhode Island. Providence. May 3, 1775. Thirty Shillings or One Pound Ten Shillings. Fr. RI-184. PCGS Choice Very Fine-35 Details. Small Edge Repairs, Small Masked Stains. As illustrated.

Description: Laid paper. Serial No. 3126. Signed by M. Bowler and Jos. Clarke. Printed by John Carter. Two-Sided. 80mm by 119mm. “Another tough note in any grade,” wrote the Ford specialist, adding “it was worthy enough to be used as the Newman plate note and, up to that time [4th Edition] must have been the finest note on the issue he had seen.” We must have similar vision to what Mr. Newman had, as we, too, find it difficult to imagine a finer example. An outstanding specimen in all regards.
