Colony of New-York. November 25, 1747. Ten Pounds. Fr. NY-124. PCGS Choice Very Fine-35. No qualifiers. As illustrated.

Description: Laid paper. Serial No. 7707. Signed by I. DePeyster, A. Lynsen, and C.V. Horne. Uniface. Printed by James Parker. Standard size. Two five-pound weight images are part of the imprint to discourage “raising” the value. Its Death To Counterfeit This Bill. An exceptional note at every turn. The light golden paper supports boldly inked images and signatures. This outstanding note made it through the PCGS graders without qualifier - that is how fine it actually is! Nicely margined, a little broad at the left. The Ford writer called this note “A wonderful example where Good to Very Good would be high grade for the issue.” Rare, impressive, and crisp; just about all one could want – and probably more than one could hope for -- in an early New-York note from this series.
