Description: Thicker coarse paper. Serial No. 1490. Signed by Gab. Ludlow, J. DePeyster, and David Clarkson. Uniface. Printed by James Parker. Standard size. Plate B. Anti-raising device of two Crowns. Tis Death To Counterfeit This Bill. Dark paper backing. Evenly centered and still readable, the inked signatures a trifle faded. Some rounding at the corners, but still affording a solid presentation. Rare in any grade, and a note that deserves bidding attention for just that reason.

Pedigree: From Stack’s sale of the John J. Ford, Jr. Collection, Part VIII, October, 2005, Lot 1528. (Ford Price Realized: $402.50)
