Description: Thicker coarse paper. Serial No. 10380. Possibly signed by Jon Livingston, I. DePeyster, and possibly Oliver DeLancey; the signatures are very faint. Uniface. Printed by James Parker. Standard size. Three one-pound weight images are part of the imprint to discourage “raising” the value. Its Death To Counterfeit This Bill. Not a prize winner in the looks department, but certainly fine enough for this rare issue to raise eyebrows. Deep golden paper with moderately strong vignettes despite the weakness of the inked signatures. Back with deep golden backing paper. These notes were used to finance the French and Indian War of the mid-18th Century. Elusive in any grade!
