Description: Laid paper. Serial No. 4452. Signed by A. Lynsen, I. De Peyster, and C.V. Horne. Uniface. Printed by James Parker. Standard size. Three one-pound weight images are part of the imprint to discourage “raising” the value. Its Death To Counterfeit. A prize note, a rarity, and perhaps the finest known of the issue; it certainly ranks near the top of any existing Condition Censu. Boldly inked and crisp as well. Only 1,860 authorized for printing, with a great deal of natural attrition occurring over the ensuing centuries. To find this issue in this grade is nothing shy of a numismatic miracle, and the expected lively bidding action will reflect the status of this attractive, gem-for-the-grade note.
